1. What is ODL -On Device Launcher is a single click icon that sits on your mobile device.  Once you click on the icon you will be taken straight to the icons mobile web site.
  2. What does your phone need -You’ll need Internet access and a mobile phone that supports Java MIDP 2.0. If you are not familiar with Java MIDP 2.0, check your phone’s user manual and/or the manufacturer’s website. -You will need to ensure that your mobile phone can connect to the Internet, which usually requires a data subscription. If your phone does not provide Internet access, contact your network operator for assistance. •

What is Java MIDP 2.0? -The Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) is a format of Sun Microsystems Java programming environment that helps to provide a standard Java runtime environment for today’s most popular mobile information devices, such as cell phones and mainstream personal digital assistants (PDAs). In layman’s terms it is a programming language for software that can run on phones that support that type of software. •
  4. What does it cost -To the consumer – Free -To the company that developed the ODL, you will be charged a click through rate every time your consumer enters your mobile web site via the ODL
  • Manage Campaign -Dashboard Controls: -
  1. Name = The name give to the On Device Launcher -
  2. Segment = Industry segmentation / genre -
  3. Downloads = the amount of downloads and request for the ODL -
  4. Daily Hits = The number of times the consumer has clicked on the ODL to go to the landing page -
  5. Daily limit =Means the amount of clicks throughs you have allowed for the day – this is set in the budget section at the bottom creating a campaign -
  6. Campaign Hits = means the total number of clicks throughs for this campaign/ODL -
  7. Cost = Means the total cost for click throughs in all regions.  Selecting a region and price is at the bottom of creating a campaign -
  • Status = Means the activity position of the Campaign/ODL •
  1. Active = The campaign is live •
  2. Stopped = means the campaign is not active •
  3. Pending = the campaign is waiting to be approved by Ignition Moderator -
  • Actions = Enables you to control your campaign •
  1. Reports = view the active reporting for the current campaign •
  2. Toggle = enables you to activate and stop each campaign •
  3. Edit = Enables you to change the landing page URL without getting the consumer to download another ODL •
  4. Delete = means deletes the campaign permanently  •
  5. View = Displays the current campaign details including URL and images for the splash page and phone icon •
  6. Mosite = enables you to develop your own landing page (Coming Soon)

  1. Express Launcher Maker -Campaign Name = Name given to On Device Launcher -
  2. Description = This section is to assist you in managing and tracking the campaign -
  3. Segment = Means industry segmentation or genre -
  • Campaign Type
  1. WAP On Device Launcher – Java application that is created with your brand / campaign message and embedded landing page URL.
  2. WAP URL = means the Landing page URL that is embedded into the Java application
  3. SMS On Device Launcher – Java application that is created with your brand / campaign message plus embed the short-code, Keyword, Instructions and Disclaimer
  4. SMS Number = means the short-code or MT number for the campaign -
  5. SMS Keyword = if you are using a shared short-code this is the section you enter you own keyword to determine your inbound traffic
  6. SMS Instructions = This message is display for the consumer to use you application. Example – enter the keyword and press submit to enter -
  7. SMS Disclaimer = the ability to enter brief terms and conditions

  1. Durations = Means the length of time the splash screen is displayed before going to the campaign landing page -
  2. Background colour = Means any remaining space available on the screen will be in this colour for the WAP ODL and the background colour for the SMS ODL
  3. Font Colour – Means the colour of the wording used in the SMS launcher instructions and disclaimer

  1. Advance = allows you to add individual splash screen sized for the campaign.  This allows you to control the image quality for each screen size. -

  4. Daily Click Limit = this allows you to set a daily limit on the amount of clicks through
